Assumptions
- At least one person can maintain Linux/Docker basics.
- Domain DNS and a small VPS (~€5–20/mo class) are available—exact prices unverified and regional.
- Payments still use a PSP like Stripe; this stack does not replace banking.
Risks
- Single-VPS outage takes many tools offline—use offsite backups.
- Self-host time cost can exceed SaaS fees if unskilled.
- Email deliverability requires a commercial SMTP provider for most operators.
Getting started
- Buy/reserve a domain and VPS; configure DNS.
- Deploy Caddy + Vaultwarden + BookStack + Uptime Kuma via Compose packs.
- Prove restore from Restic before migrating real member PII.
- Add EspoCRM only after staff agree on pipeline stages.
